Sculpture installation. Varying dimensions
Zinc, copper, felt, rubber, glass, drawings and electrical elements.

In Gabinet Anèmic a collection of objects acts as stage set into which the spectator is situated. The installation of the various pieces suggest their use to the visitor with the objective of making it obvious that each gadget is ironically obsolete, it is on stand-by, its functional energy is anaemic despite the fact that the dense appearance of the grouping denotes a situation of high tension narrative.

“In the first place, technical machines do not work, evidently, more than in their condition of not being broken; their own limitation is that of wear and not of irreparability. (…) Machines which generate desire, on the contrary, by working, never stop breaking, they do not work more than by breaking: production always is inserted into the product and the pieces of the machine are also its fuel. Art often uses this property to create real phantoms which, together, short-circuit social production with the production of desirability, and introduce the function of irreparability into the reproduction of technical machines”.
