Series of photographs whose main motive is to capture the order and aesthetics of environments and buildings considered subaltern and depressed by culture and official urban planning, but where there lies a very creative autonomous capacity for social organization and resource use. The suburban gardens embody areas that until recently escaped the control of administrations and real estate speculation and rehearse, perhaps not in a deliberate and conscious way, a pre-industrial socioeconomic logic that offers a humble alternative to the post-capitalist model, based on self-organization, collectivization or the definition of the peripheral wasteland as a free social space to negotiate new exchange relations outside the urban agora of economic and political power.
